His third company, Aspect development, was sold to i2 Technologies in what was then the largest merger in software history. His latest venture, Symphony Technology Group, is a leading technology investor in the software universe. He has also been a director on the boards of several other companies and organizations.
A scientist-turned entrepreneur, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw has made Biocon the pioneering biotechnology conglomerate in the country. As Chairperson and Mission Leader of CII’s National Task Force on biotechnology, she played a crucial role in propelling India into the global super league. Kiran has received several awards, including the country’s highest honor – the Padmashri – from the President of India.

He is the National Programme Director of the UNDP project on SKILLS, which aims to demonstrate that jobs can be created through appropriate location specific, need based, competency-linked training interventions, using conventional as well as online systems.
Ajay Kela has over 25 years of experience in the IT Industry in the US and India, scaling startups and midsize companies to several billion dollar organizations. As President and CEO of Wadhwani Foundation, Ajay oversees all of Wadhwani Foundation’s initiatives which besides NEN, include Opportunity Networks for the Differently Enabled (OND), Biosciences and Biotechnology Research and Indo-US Govt Chair for Policy Advocacy. Ajay received his Ph.D in USA and his Bachelor's degree from IIT Bombay.
Prof. S. Sadagopan is Founder Director, IIIT-B, Bangalore, a new generation Graduate School focusing on all aspects of IT. He has taught at IIT Kanpur and IIM Bangalore for more than two decades. He has also taught at Rutgers University, USA; IIT, Madras; AIT, Bangkok; Stanford & MIT. He is a Fellow of IEE (UK) and the Computer Society of India. A Fulbright Scholar, Prof Sadagopan obtained his Ph.D. from Purdue University
