Professor Basant is an accomplished economist. He specializes in science and technology issues, including patents. He has been a consultant to the Intermediate Technology Development Group (ITDG), London, UN University Institute of New Technologies, Maastricht, UNCTAD, the World Bank, IDRC, Canada, and Consumer Unity and Trust Society (CUTS), Jaipur. He was a visiting fellow, at the Economic Growth Center, Yale University. He received his PhD from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.
Kalyani Gandhi Professor & Chairperson, NS Raghavan Center for Entrepreneurial Learning, IIM Bangalore
Prof. Gandhi was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from Oxford Brookes University for her innovative and pioneering work on training and empowering poor women through entrepreneurship. The one month women's management program is today the most popular summer program at IIMB. She was Dean (OD&A) until December 2002. She is a member of the National HRD Network and National Institute of Personnel Management. Prof. Gandhi holds a Bachelor's and Master's in Psychology from Ruparel College, Mumbai and Gujarat University, respectively. She did her M.Ed. in Educational Psychology and Ed.D. in Labour Studies from Rutgers University, USA.
Arya Kumar Professor of Management, Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani
Professor Arya Kumar has over two decades of diversified experience in educational institutions, research organizations, banks and financial institutions. His expertise extends to project financing, investment banking, reconstruction of ailing units, and training and development of various management programs. Presently, he is actively involved with the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership at BITS. Prof. Arya received his PhD from BITS Pilani.
Rajendra K. Lagu Member of Technical Staff, Computational Research Labs, Pune Former Adjunct Professor and Project Director, SINE, IIT Bombay
Dr. Lagu managed and led the business incubator at IIT Bombay and spearheaded the entrepreneurship initiatives on campus. Prior to IIT, he worked with Mastek Limited and also with The Financial Times in the UK. He was the Principal Consultant, Cytel Software Incorporated, Cambridge, Massachusetts and its subsidiary in India. He is an alumnus of IIT Bombay and received his PhD from the University of Florida.

Professor Mullins brings to his teaching and research 20 years of executive experience in high-growth firms. He founded two ventures, one of which he took public. His research has won national and international awards from the Marketing Science Institute, the American Marketing Association, and the Richard D. Irwin Foundation. Professor Mullins earned his MBA at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his PhD in Marketing from the University of Minnesota.
Suresh Rao Chairperson, Center for Entrepreneurship, SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai
Professor Rao has three decades of professional management experience in family-managed, Indian and joint venture corporates, like Godrej and Boyce, Maxworth Orchards and Easycall Paging (India). His areas of expertise include revamping business strategies, professional management practices, developing new products and services and restructuring. In 1998 he was invited by IBC Singapore to give a presentation on ‘Creating a Market for Call Centers in Emerging Market’. Professor Rao is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad.
Edward Rubesch Lecturer, Thammasat Business School, Thammasat University, Thailand
Dr. Rubesch’s experience combines a mixture of practical and academic entrepreneurial experience. Dr. Rubesch has founded four companies in Thailand, all of which he still heads as President. In 2002, he started the New Ventures Program at Mahidol University’s College of Management to give business professionals the entrepreneurial skills necessary to start and succeed in new businesses. He received his PhD from Thammasat University.
Gayatri Saberwal Chief Co-ordinator, Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB), Bangalore
As part of the senior founding team of the institute, Dr. Saberwal has led the entrepreneurship initiatives at IBAB. Mentoring students and research in entrepreneurship and life sciences remains her focus. Prior to IBAB, Dr. Saberwal ran the Institute Development Office of the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Bangalore. Dr. Saberwal holds a post doctorate from Cornell University and a PhD from JNU, New Delhi through the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad.
Tina Seelig Executive Director, Stanford Technology Ventures Program
Dr. Seelig is also Director, Stanford Entrepreneurship Network and the co-Director of the Mayfield Fellows Program. She teaches a course in the Department of Management Science & Engineering on Creativity and Innovation in Organizations. Tina has experience as an entrepreneur, management consultant, author, and scientist. Dr. Seelig’s book, Incredible Edible Science, won many awards, including the International Children’s Choice Award. She received her PhD from Stanford University Medical School in the field of Neuroscience.
