The crowd is spilling out of the hall at the Institute of Engineering and Management. Surprisingly, not a murmur is heard, as 700 students prepare to solemnly take the E-Week pledge. NEN Consultant Abhijan Ganguly informs me that an entire plethora of serious activities have been scheduled for the coming week - including television shows, discussions on Intellectual Property Rights, Business Plan competition and interaction with entrepreneurs. "These guys are extremely focused," Abhijan adds. I look around and see the grim resolution in the faces around me. Why am I not surprised?
