Out at nine in a cold winter morning, we headed to far-off Pailan to witness the inauguration of E-Week at the Pailan School of International Studies. Our extra miles were worth it. Despite being a holiday, the campus was buzzing with activity, with over 200 students participating in the event. Posters and banners of E-Week filled up every empty space on the notice boards. Pictures did the talking through colourful collages, spreading the idea of entrepreneurship. A business game was in progress - four groups were given a seed fund of Rs 50, with a seven day deadline to bring in profits.

However, what struck me as different was the family-oriented nature of the celebrations. In a unique bazaar, mothers will do the baking while their children would do the selling. Guest lectures would be given by couples who are involved in entrepreneurial activity.
I think both the events would go a long way in promoting entrepreneurship. In the former, two generations will get a chance to experience the kick of entrepreneurship together. The latter will hopefully inspire students and help them appreciate the spirit of teamwork and collaboration that exist between entrepreneur couples.
It is perhaps such events that will make the E-Week truly unique.
