| E Week India's success is driven by the hundreds of partners and sponsors who come together under one banner to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and economic growth.
The combined leadership, engagement and support provided by academic institutes, corporate houses, entrepreneurs, start ups, investors and professionals enable enormous reach. Last year, over 2,00,000 people participated in E Week, and many more read the more than 200 articles, heard the E Week message on the radio, or saw events covered on TV.
This year, E Week takes on a new challenge, targeting participation of 3,00,000 young people across the nation. This year, we will all be challenged to find solutions and opportunities for sustainable development. This year, E Week India Goes Green!
Throughout the year, events, activities and competitions will focus on Go Green! E Week India starts today. We look forward to you being part of the action, and helping E Week India reach new heights.
E Week Partners are non-profit organizations, such as academic institutes or associations, who promote wish to promote entrepreneurship and participate in E Week by running events, spreading the message to their communities.
E Week Sponsors are organizations that value innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking. These organizations are looking to support high-impact solutions for economic growth. They provide sponsorship funding to support the activities of E Week, and may also engage in other E Week Partner activities, provide speakers to student groups, or run their own activities within the organization to promote innovation in the work place.
Some ideas for participation include:
- Provide sponsorship funding to the overall E Week initiative, or to specific E Week-related events
- Participate in the awareness campaign- taking the pledge to support an entrepreneurial India
- Run one or more entrepreneurship events with the Go Green theme during Feb 7 - 14, 2009
- Volunteer to speak at E Week events taking place on campuses around India
- Register your E Week events on the site and allow us to include the activity in the overall participation tallies
- Let the public know what you are doing, by working with the E Week PR efforts and possibly initiating your own
Partners and Sponsors receive comprehensive support from NEN to participate in E Week.
NEN will provide materials, including posters, banners, Pledge cards, pins and stickers. In addition, NEN develops and manages the website that allows for national showcasing of Partner activities, stories and images. Further, NEN will facilitate speaking engagements, help find speakers for events, and provide ideas and help in shaping and executing events.
A great deal of energy, by NEN, also goes into communicating with the press directly, and also supporting the Partners' and Sponsors' communication with press, about E Week generally and about the Partner activities and successes during E Week.
Finally, NEN runs the national E Week Champion competition for the participating NEN academic institutes. Champions are recognized at the official E Week India Closing Ceremony held in Bangalore on the final Saturday evening of E Week.
Recognition levels are related to the type of engagement.
Partner associations at the national level are recognized in the E Week material, including the web-site, posters, e-newsletters, banners, and E Week India Highlight Book. Local partners are recognized locally at the individual event level.
Sponsors are recognized at different levels, and in different venues.
National level Sponsors will be showcased on all the official E Week materials, including posters, Pledge Cards, website, mailers, Closing Ceremony banners and more, that go out to the more than 300 academic institutes and other Partners. In 2008, these materials were seen by over 2,00,000 participants, most of whom are the entrepreneurial leaders of tomorrow.
Regional and local Sponsors may choose to sponsor specific events for Partners, in which case they would be showcased with the Partner's permission on the materials related to that event.
The enthusiastic and creative use of materials, as can be seen in the many images during E Week, lends color and energy to the activities, while at the same time allowing Sponsors high levels of visibility.
