"We are the champions - my friends
And we'll keep on fighting - till the end"

The famous Queen's song became the lead theme for 14 NEN member institutes who were declared E Week Champions and Runners Up in 2008. (See list of E Week 08 winners)

Next year, all NEN students, faculty, entrepreneurs, corporates and professionals will come together once again to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship.

Our Champions embody the E Week spirit. Thousands of students lead and participate in hundreds of events across India each day keeping campuses pulsing with energy and reaching out beyond.

Activities range from simple entrepreneurship talks to structured business plan competitions; from donation drives & signature campaigns to shoveling dirt for a highway underpass along with the local municipality; from cookery & fashion shows to showcasing customized cars. E Week Champions have done it all!

Last year over 2,00,000 people participated. And certainly, never has entrepreneurship been so much fun.

Who will be the Champions next year? Who will make the Honor Roll?

Selection Criteria

Winners are selected in three categories - Champions, Runner Up Champions and Honor Roll - as representing those NEN member institutes that have done the following DURING E Week. (View list of NEN Member Institutes )

The three criteria are:

  • Activities - quantity and quality
  • Participation level
  • Institute engagement

ACTIVITIES

  • Quantity - the overall number of activities conducted (last year a Champion ran up to 800 events during E Week)
  • Quality - combining fun & learning in all activities. Ideally, Champions run innovative events which are a mix of entertainment and learning

PARTICIPATION LEVEL

  • Maximum student participation from the E-Cell and other departments on campus
  • Student participation from other institutes

INSTITUTE & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

  • Faculty from different departments across campus to join and co-lead the activities
  • Joint events with students and faculty from other institutes
  • Engaging alumni and other entrepreneurs, investors and professionals as speakers and resource people for events

Selection Process

All NEN member institutes who want to be considered for Championships must voluntarily register before E Week begins.

Institutes are encouraged to plan their activities ahead of time, document and share the plan with the NEN team. All activities should be posted on the E Week website for the final activity level tally.

During E Week, NEN Consulting team members and others will nominate and shortlist institutes based on the criteria. Local experts will do a second-opinion review of the shortlist.

A select panel of judges will choose the final Champions. The panel will include entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and academicians.

More information on the judges' panel and registration will be available soon. Check the timeline & important dates.

Notification Process

E Week Champions and Honor Roll winners will be notified during E Week and invited to attend the Prize Giving during the Closing Ceremony in Bangalore. NEN team members will call the NEN Faculty Leaders and will email both the NEN Faculty Leaders and the E-Cell Leaders to let them know.

Recognition & Prize Giving

E Week Champions - 2 representatives from each E Week Champion will be flown in to receive their Championship Cups at the E Week Closing Ceremony on Feb 14th in Bangalore. As many students are encouraged to attend as possible!

E Week Champions will receive their Champion Cups during the Closing Ceremony. They will be showcased on the E Week Website and the NEN website, and will be announced in NEN's ad in the DARE magazine. In addition, the press will be notified.
