Sahil, who already runs a seven month lifestyle magazine called Tossed Salad, has launched a 'green' website to celebrate E Week - www.greenpune.org.
Greenpune.org is a social initiative, launched as part of Tossed Salad, to promote a green lifestyle, explains Sahil. This interactive website will provide updates on eco events in Pune, green initiatives taken by corporate organizations, NGOs and governments, and developments in the eco space in India and abroad. It also has utilizes networking tools like Twitter to bring the community together. "We want the website to become a knowledge repository on everything related to Green. I want to partner with the Pune Municipality Corporation and Centre of Envinroment Education to support some of the features," says Sahil.
This E Week, Sahil is encouraging other NEN member institutes to list their events on the website, and hopes for a continued relationship with them to strengthen the website. The one day old website already has 60 hits, and Sahil expects to see this number multiply in the coming days.
