Entrepreneurship Week India 09 officially arrived on February 7 with a bang loud enough to rock campuses for the next seven days. We say ‘officially’, because a few enthusiastic institutes kickstarted the events two days in advance, on Thursday itself.

Going Green

Riding high on the theme of sustainable entrepreneurship, many students have jumped on to the green bus this E Week. From holding mammoth rallies, to knocking on doors of strangers to explain the importance of energy conservation, to setting up eco companies in their campuses – the students are creatively experimenting with ideas to promote the spirit of responsible entrepreneurship. In addition, the E Week Hosts and Partners are addressing the theme ‘Go Green! The world is our business’ through many of their activities.

I solemnly resolve to…

Let us express our solidarity to this year's theme by taking the E Week India 2009 Pledge. This year’s Pledge is now available online. Support entrepreneurship in India by taking the pledge; get your family, friends, neighbours and networks to be a part of it.

E Week Yatra

For the second year in a row, NEN’s very own blogger Shubha Narayanan and photographer Sujith Sujan are out with their notepads and camera, traveling to seven cities during the week to record and report on the exciting events taking place across the campuses.

Also, the website now showcases some fascinating news stories and videos on ‘green entrepreneurship’ from around the world. This week’s Green Leader, VC Mohanjit Jolly of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, gives us an inside look into the cleantech business in India.
