INCUBATOR PROFILE
Introduction
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore was established in 1973. Building on the base of its highly accomplished faculty and motivated student body, IIMB has evolved into a premier centre for management education and research.

The Nadathur S. Raghavan Center for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) was set up in March 2002 to synergise with IIMB's focus on entrepreneurial studies. It guides budding entrepreneurs in carefully defining the opportunities and helps them access resources required to convert dreams into reality. NSRCEL is named after NS Raghavan, former Joint Managing Director, Infosys.

The N. S. Raghavan Global Internet Ventures (NSR-GIV) Centre
Nadathur S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) is the incubation facility at IIMB. IIMB joined the National Entrepreneurship Network in 2007 and also co-leads the faculty development program- the Entrepreneurship Educators Course. Focus
State-of-the-art incubator to help entrepreneurs launch their business plans into commercially viable products and services.
Incubation process
Incubation process includes product development, product innovation, testing, simulation, pilot experimentation, training, presentation to a target audience and finally a tie-up for funding
The process begins with the submission of a business plan by the entrepreneur team
The Screening Committee evaluates if the project deserves to be incubated at NSRCEL
The residency period normally lasts for six months, extendable up to a year
Facilities
The incubator can house about ten teams of 4-6 members each
Each company gets a cubicle space with computers and Internet connection
Meeting room and conferencing facilities
Administrative support including printing, photocopying, fax and telephone and IIMB canteen/food
Access to the IIMB library
Services
Access to technology fora, angel investors and venture capitalists
Expert advice from a business consultant, chartered accountant and a banker
Invitation to seminars/panel discussions that are conducted by NSRCEL for entrepreneurs and other networking opportunities

APPLICATION CRITERIA & PROCESS
Evaluation Criteria
The product or service idea should have high growth potential
Concept should be innovative and seek to develop a proprietary position
The idea should have commercial viability and job generating potential
The team should have adequate technical/ management education or business experience to exploit the technology
Guidelines for submission
Each applicant must submit a preliminary written business plan.
The plan should indicate details like key focus areas, market analysis and customer base and others
The Screening Committee of NSRCEL will evaluate the business viability of the concept.

NSRCEL does not have a standard application form. You may submit your business plan, based on above mentioned criteria, through NEN Online.
